Hello Family and Friends,
We took a little detour on our travels to fly from Las Vegas to Birmingham.

We decided on the cheapest tickets which mean we sat apart. Brett and Atlas sat together and I sat separate from them. I got very lucky and had a window seat with an empty chair beside me. Needless to say, I had a great flight. Even the landing was probably the smoothest I can remember.

First on our agenda back to birmingham was taking Brett's mom, Mama Cheryl, to visit a cousin in Jacksonville, Florida. However on our way to Jacksonville, we changed plans because the cousin fell ill. Brett and I are nothing if not good at a quick pivot of travel plans. There have been too many times where we literal wake-up with no place to stay that night, but we have yet to sleep in our car. Anyway, we decided since we were already halfway there, we would change our destination to Savannah, Georgia. The best part of the trip was seeing my Cousin John and his family.

It was such a joy to watch Atlas and his second cousin, John IV play at the dinner table. They are only two months apart and they really enjoyed each other company.

The second best thing was going on a Moron's tour of Savannah. It is definitely an adult tour, but they were hilarious! It had very little information, but it was great fun!

On our way back from Savannah, we stopped at this peach store. It had a playground and was a great place to grab a treat and stretch our legs

It really was a great little trip where Atlas got to spend some much needed time with his Grandma Cheryl.

Upon returning from our Savannah trip, I left the boys behind and went for a Bachelorette to celebrate my brother Immanuel's fiance. Kaila. Of course we think the world of Immanuel, but he's also a little weird. We knew it would have to be someone special and we are so glad that it is her.

While I was with the girls, Brett and Atlas were at a family reunion

Atlas also spent some fun time with his Huntsville cousins. They came to Birmingham for the whole weekend. I do think that being around other older children has also helped to develop Atlas' language skills. He is definitely trying out more words.

It was good to slow down a bit and see almost all of the family (Josiah, I'm calling you out!)
