Hello Family and Friends,

We are traveling abroad...Canada! We are visiting Niagara Falls, but on the Canadian side. We hear it's beautiful on that side and it's more cost effective. Since we have passports, why not.

We picked up a special guest on our way to the falls: my goddaughter, Sarah. She will be traveling with us for most of the summer. We are super excited to have her with us!

Sarah celebrated her 19th Birthday while in Niagara. Canada's legal drinking age is 19 so she was able to enjoy complimentary adult beverages at our hotel reception.

We really enjoyed our trip to the falls. It is totally touristy with way too many different activities to see the falls. They have found all the ways to take your money, but it is worth it. The falls weren't as tall as I expected, but there was just so much water in one place. It is a powerful site. Honestly my favorite way to enjoy the falls was by my hotel window where I was dry and warm. It was such a great opportunity to be a little removed and be able to see both sides of the falls.

We are headed to Windsor in order to visit Detroit. Staying on the Canadian side is cheaper and we get to extend our abroad journey a little longer.
